I am highly competent with over 20 years specific experience of people presenting with Complex Needs that need Physiotherapy and take an pro active interest in professional development.
My Assessment and experience gives me a very clear idea of which pathways will be involved in potentially achievable goals.

Initially part time from 1995 then increasing caseload until :-
2002 Full Time Private Practice and special interest in patients with Complex Needs.
Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, other Neurological Problems and Complex Orthopeadic problems
Providing Physiotherapy Intervention for these has included:-
Enabling clients to fulfil their abilities to their physical maximum putting their injuries into perspective i.e. they are not defined by their injury
‘Hands on’ Physiotherapy treatment
Carer Training in Physiotherapy techniques.
Moving and Handling advice appropriate to physiotherapy intervention
Specific intervention in pre and post orthopaedic surgery including Amputation
Respiratory Care particularly with Tracheostomy and related mechanical respiratory support.
Working in any environment with any equipment required to address the patient’s physical problems inc.

General Information

Consistently maintained on call input since qualifying in 1982 until February 2002 when I left the NHS. (On-call is an emergency service usually for acute respiratory problems. Some on-call included acute stroke or falls risk patients).
